Origami Instructions for a Simple Paper Airplane

Airplanes or aeroplanes are one of the most famous of the objects in Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. A simple airplane is one of the basic objects in origami and requires no skills other than being able to fold paper. The instructions to a simple paper airplane are as below:

Steps for the construction of a simple paper Airplane


1. Take a square piece of paper. You can use any ordinary paper or buy an origami paper which are available from any arts and craft shop near you.






2. Fold the sheet of paper exactly in half . Crease it hard to get a permanent crease separating the paper into two halves.
Open the sheet.






3. On one end of paper, fold each corner towards the middle line.








4. Take the points and fold them inside, making them inline with the center line.






5. Turn the airplane and fold it along the centerline.
 







6. Fold the wings with the line of the folds parallel to the centerline. Make this fold atleast 1 inch from the center to make it easier to hold your plane.






7. Your origami paper plane is ready to fly.
